About the Symposium
Civil Engineering provides all the facilities that are requisite of civilization to humanity. This is why civil engineering has multiple branches and it is by definition versatile. The rapid growth of population and the advances in technology increases the scope, dimension and importance of civil engineering projects. Similarly, the demand for innovation and the production of knowledge is increasing at an exponential rate. In accordance with these observations, the Turkish Chamber of Civil Engineers is organizing “7th Geotechnical Symposium with International Participation” in Istanbul with the intent of dissemination of knowledge in collaboration with Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering Society.
Istanbul, the birth place of Soil Mechanics, is now a hub where colossal infrastructure projects are undertaken and cutting edge applications of geotechnical engineering are implemented. Accordingly, it is the purpose of the “7th Geotechnical Symposium with International Participation” to contribute to the growing know-how, to share recent innovations and experiences.
Istanbul Branch of the Turkish Chamber of Civil Engineers and the organizing committee welcomes you to this highly attended top-notch scientific activity where fellow civil engineers working in governmental, public, or the private sector interact and communicate.
